Yashasvi Jaiswal spills the beans on senior’s big-hearted move
Young gun Yashasvi Jaiswal has let out a dressing room secret — whenever junior players step out with KL Rahul, wallets stay shut. Because ‘Rahul Bhai’ always picks up the bill, no matter how big the amount. And even if someone tries to take advantage, Rahul just smiles it off.
That’s team culture for you — when a senior is at the table, juniors don’t pay. Reacting to Jaiswal’s revelation, Rahul’s first coach Samuel John Muthu told: “I am not surprised. He has struggled in his early days. He has gone through various phases before getting the India cap.”
Muthu says Rahul’s parents Dr. Lokesh KN, mother Rajeshwari and sister Bhawana taught him the first lesson to be humble and kind. “Down-to-earth man,” is how Muthu sums him up.
