Kalyani Priyadarshan To Make Cannes Debut
Still deciding on her look, she says her focus is on enjoying every moment of the much-awaited trip
After a fulfilling year, marked by Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, Kalyani Priyadarshan is all set to join the Indian contingent at Cannes Film Festival on May 14.
“Cannes has always been such an iconic celebration of cinema, so being there this year feels very special,” the actress said. “I am grateful for all the love Lokah Chapter One: Chandra has received and it definitely makes this moment even more memorable for me.”
Kalyani pointed to the growing Indian presence at the festival as proof of the industry’s expanding reach. “I think Indian cinema is being recognised globally in such an exciting way right now, especially with newer voices and stories finding their space,” she said. “It’s lovely to be part of that larger movement and experience a platform like Cannes at this stage of my journey.”
With Cannes as much about fashion as film, the actor is still locking her look. “We are trying different things but I just want to enjoy and make the most of my time there,” she added.
