‘Jim Jim Tara’ Row Hits Venkatesh Film
Singer Lakshmi questions if ‘Aadarsha Kutumbam’ secured rights to use the track and threatens legal action

The use of Instagram-viral song ‘Jim Jim Tara’ in Venkatesh’s Aadarsha Kutumbam has sparked a copyright dispute, with singer Lakshmi questioning the makers. “Whom did you pay? Did you compensate the makers of Parnashala, or did you pay me for using my clip? You influential people continue to grow and prosper, while small people like us are left struggling. If you do not remove my clip, we will have no choice but to pursue legal action. Do not assume that just because we come from a village, we are unaware of our rights,” she said.
The controversy erupted after the track featured in a Venkatesh film sequence, prompting Lakshmi to question whether the makers had secured permission. Originally from Parnashala, the song was released by Aditya Music.
