Jaya Bachchan Won’t Watch Agastya’s Film
The veteran actor cannot bear seeing her beloved grandson die on screen

Strong-willed and resolute, Jaya Bachchan is known for standing firm once she makes up her mind. This time, her decision has left even her family surprised.
The veteran actor has chosen not to watch her beloved grandson Agastya Nanda’s much-talked-about film Ikkis—and the reason is deeply personal.
Jaya reportedly cannot bear the thought of seeing her grandson die on screen, even if it is purely fictional. “Jaya has always avoided watching films in which her husband’s character dies,” reveals a close family friend. “For a long time, she also struggled to watch her son Abhishek in I Want To Talk because his character is shown as terminally ill. Watching Agastya die on screen is simply too painful for her to handle.”For Jaya, the emotional weight of such scenes outweighs the distinction between cinema and reality—making this one film she has decided to stay away from.
