Stars confirm that they’ll tie the knot on August 29
We had reported that actor Vishal and actress Sai Dhanshika announced that they were in love and would get married on August 29, Vishal’s birthday. Speaking at the audio launch of her film Yogi Da, Sai Dhanshika said, “We have been friends for the last 15 years. Only recently we realized that we were in love. We felt we could take our relationship to the next level — marriage. It was a collaborative decision with the concurrence of both families concerned.”
Vishal said, “I want to officially say that I am going to marry Sai Dhanshika. I believe that I am fortunate to have her in my life. God always gives the best at the right time. We share a strong understanding, and I have invested myself completely in the relationship.”
In Yogi Da, a female-centric film directed by Gautham Krishna, Sai Dhanshika plays a tough cop. Speaking about the plot, she said, “It’s an action entertainer and I have pulled off a few high-octane risky stunts without a body double, thanks to my training in martial arts and silambam.”
She also highlighted the film’s message. “From time to time, we hear of crimes against girl children and women. The film speaks about women’s safety and self-defence. My humble request to parents is that you teach your daughters self-defence techniques just as you send them for music or dance classes. It will give them self-confidence and protect them during a crisis.”
Comparing her acting talent to that of Vijayashanthi, Vishal said, “After Vijayashanthi, Dhanshika is the only actress who has performed action scenes so impressively.”
Asked if Dhanshika would continue her acting career after marriage, Vishal asserted, “I will never stop her from acting, and I fully support her career.
