‘I Want to Create Magic on the Big Screen’
Superboys of Malegaon actor Anuj Singh Duhan shares his Bollywood journey. He opens up about the highs, lows, and everything in between he encountered along the way

Anuj’s quest to land a role in Superboys of Malegaon kicked off with a gruelling audition process, which he wittily refers to as a waiting game.
Making inroads in Bollywood
“It takes time to get rid of the label of being a model that people often use. This perception was a significant hurdle. Leaving the prison of your mind is hard. Being a third or secondary cast member is tough. Moving into the primary section is a challenge. I have played very different roles in two films, Pippa and Superboys of Malegaon, both of which had great casts, makers, and directors. I want to be part of good films. I want to do roles where my parts have significance, where I can impact the story. I wanted to make a difference. I believe cinema can change lives. There are many films that have changed my life. Superboys of Malegaon help people change their mentality, thought process, and lives,” says the actor.
DREAM ROLE
Anuj, who made his debut with Pipa, reveals that he has vision of him playing a warrior role one day. “I have always liked films such as Troy. I want to play a warrior like Brad Pitt. I watched him as I grew up. That is my dream. I also want to be part of a boxing film or a wrestling film. I am from Haryana.”
ADVENTURE FREAK
“I ride my bike in the mountains. I enjoy dirt biking. I enjoy skydiving. I enjoy different adventure sports. It gives me an adrenaline rush. It makes me feel alive. I enjoy sports and travelling.”
Does criticism bother you?
“People like to hear positive feedback about their work. Absolutely. It feels awful when someone says something incorrect.”
