GV Prakash Kumar has been confirmed as the new music composer for Ajith’s upcoming film Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. He replaces Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), whose name was originally announced in the context. Incidentally, this is the second time DSP is being replaced in a project in the recent past. The composer, who is also working on Pushpa 2 — The Rule for the production house Mythri Movie Makers (which also bankrolls Good Bad Ugly), had his role in that project modified. While he remains responsible for the songs in Pushpa 2, composers Thaman, Sam CS, and Ajaneesh Loknath are now handling the background score.
A source close to GV Prakash Kumar confirmed to DC that the composer had begun work on Good Bad Ugly, taking responsibility for both the background score and remaining songs. GVP himself had hinted at his involvement during a Twitter interaction with fans. Responding to anticipation about the film’s background score, he wrote, “career best Onway” accompanied by a fire emoji.
