Mumbai is on alert after a threat email sent to the Mayor’s office reportedly named Amitabh Bachchan and Diljit Dosanjh as targets. The message specifically mentioned Dosanjh’s concert, scheduled to take place in Mumbai at November 27 triggering a fresh security scare.
The latest threat comes amid earlier controversy surrounding Dosanjh’s appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, where he touched Bachchan’s feet. US-based pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) reportedly objected to the gesture, linking it to the memory of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Security and law enforcement agencies are assessing the latest email and reviewing precautionary measures ahead of the high-profile concert.
Meanwhile, Dosanjh shared a message about drawing strength from adversity, writing, “When someone tries to sabotage your work, you get more energy. Whatever is happening is by His command.”
