In a culture that often celebrates noise over nuance, Ananya Panday is choosing a quieter revolution — kindness. Through her initiative So Positive and a powerful new partnership with NGO Slam Out Loud, the Gen Z star is helping bring an art-based emotional learning program — the Kindness Curriculum — to over 2.5 lakh children across India.
The Kindness Curriculum is no ordinary academic module — it’s an immersive, emotionally intelligent learning experience grounded in empathy, self-awareness, and creativity.
“For me, kindness has always been the starting point. Whether it’s navigating online spaces or being present in the real world, it’s a choice we make every day. This curriculum is my way of helping kids see that kindness isn’t a grand gesture — it’s something they can practise daily,” Ananya said.
One of the most striking features of the curriculum is Ananya’s own presence within it — not as a celebrity, but as a big sister figure. She appears in video modules, sharing personal stories of vulnerability, resilience, and emotional growth. “Kids are so much more perceptive than we give them credit for,” she says. “If we just give them the tools and the space, they’ll choose empathy over ego every time. There’s so much focus on academic excellence, but what about emotional fluency? If we want better leaders, partners, and citizens tomorrow, we need to raise kinder children today,”Ananya says.
