‘Dhurandhar’ Wave Affects Agastya Nanda’s Film

The release date of the war drama Ikkis has been pushed further as the filmmakers do not want a clash with Aditya Dhar’s film that’s drawing more viewers everyday

Sriram Raghavan’s war drama Ikkis, originally slated for a December 25 release, has been pushed ahead by a week, factoring in the Dhurandhar cyclone that shows no signs of slowing down at the box office. The film’s producers, Maddock Films, took the decision after tracking the steadily growing collections of Dhurandhar, which continues to command audience attention.
“The film refuses to slow down. Releasing Ikkis at a time when Dhurandhar has the moviegoers’ complete focus would be naïve,” says director Sriram Raghavan.
With Ikkis moving out of the Christmas frame, December 25 is now left with a single major release: Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan’s Main Tera Tu Meri, Tu Meri Main Tera.
