‘Dhurandhar Chose Me’
ays Sara Arjun, the young actress, who is having her moment with a stellar performance in the film. She feels the Universe had a hand in her debut opposite Ranveer Singh

Sara Arjun opens up about the almost serendipitous way she was cast for Dhurandhar, and what it means for her future. Excerpts:
Q How did Dhurandhar come your way?
It came to me at a very unexpected moment. I had just finished my studies in boarding school and was settling back into city life. I was sure I wanted to pursue acting. My father (actor Raj Arjun) was preparing to send me to Les Strasberg for an acting course. That was supposed to be the next chapter of my life. But destiny had already written a different script for me. I got a call from (casting director) Mukesh Chhabra Sir’s office saying they wanted to audition me. That one audition became many, and I didn’t give it much thought as I didn’t know till the very last minute what exactly I was auditioning for. With each round, I explored different emotions. This went on for a few months.
The last audition, Mukesh Sir took himself. And I lost myself in the scene that day. So much so that I came out of that room with tears in my eyes. And then… this film chose me.
Q What does the success of Dhurandhar mean to you?
Dhurandhar is not just a project for me; it feels like the Universe gently whispered, ‘Pause… don’t rush away just yet, there’s a story waiting for you here.’ I always had a gut feeling that I would be successful … not that I think I’ve got there as yet …but I would question how I would get there.
Q And has Dhurandhar answered the question for you?
Yes it has. Now, there are no questions in me, just hunger for more.
