Chiranjeevi Pulls Strings, ‘Peddi’ Gets Green Signal
Peddi will now release under the existing theatre rental system, ending weeks of uncertainty and tension within Tollywood circles

Chiranjeevi.
Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Peddi has finally got a major breakthrough after Megastar Chiranjeevi reportedly stepped in to smoothen things out with the Telangana government.
The big relief? Peddi will now release under the existing theatre rental system, ending weeks of uncertainty and tension within Tollywood circles. Insiders say Chiranjeevi personally held discussions with key stakeholders to ensure the issue did not escalate further.
There’s also buzz that any future ticket price hike for the film could come with a 7.5 percent revenue-sharing model — a move being seen as a middle path between exhibitors and the industry.
Chiranjeevi also reportedly assured exhibitors that a full-fledged percentage-sharing model would be implemented across theatres from July onwards, a move that has further eased tensions within exhibition circles.
