Time for Team Vijay to think out of the box to resuscitate his career

For all his talent and good looks, Vijay Devarakonda faces a serious crisis. Kingdom is only the most recent of his slew of failures, which include World Famous Lover, Liger (directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar), Kushi and The Family Star.
After the sobering failure of Kingdom, sources in Hyderabad say that Vijay’s underproduction film directed by Rahul Sankrityayan is up for a “steep budgetary de-escalation.” And that includes Devarakonda’s fee.
“It is a very tricky situation for VD,” a colleague of the actor observes. “He has a solid fan base among the youth. But it doesn’t seem to translate into an audience for his films. He and his team need to find a solution to his career deadlock fast, before it is too late.”
