Bollywood Buzz Surrounds Vijay Deverakonda
Visit to Maddock Films in Mumbai sparks discussion among fans
Vijay Deverakonda and film director Vikram Kumar of Manam fame were recently spotted exiting the office of Maddock Films in Mumbai, setting off speculation that the two may be discussing a Hindi film rather than a direct Telugu project.
The buzz has gained momentum because Maddock Films is currently among the most successful production houses in Hindi cinema, having delivered a string of commercially successful, content-driven entertainers. If the collaboration materializes, industry observers say it could be a significant career move for Vijay following the Liger setback.
“I have no clue about his Bollywood plans,” says writer Gopi Mohan. “But Vijay Deverakonda is a talented and charismatic actor who would naturally be looking to expand his horizons and reach wider audiences.”
Meanwhile, Vijay remains busy on the Telugu front. His commercial entertainer Rowdy Janardhana is progressing steadily, while the shoot of his period-action drama Ranabaali is also underway simultaneously.
Trade observers believe it would be premature to write off the actor despite recent setbacks. “Hits and flops are part of every actor’s journey. One successful film can change the narrative overnight,” says Gopi Mohan. “Vijay has already proved his box-office pull with blockbusters like Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam. Another major hit could be just around the corner.”
