Ayesha Stands Firm Despite Career Threat for Backing NEET Protest

Her ‘scare someone else’ retort wins praise from fans

Ayesha Khan, known for Shararat song in Dhurandhar, is in the news for her bold response to an online threat in the wake of her support for the students protesting against the NEET paper row.

She received a hostile message on Instagram saying “No work for you in Bollywood now.” Sharing the screenshot, Ayesha fired back: “I would rather lose my career than losing my spine. Scare someone else, thank you, bye bye.”

Ayesha had travelled to Shivaji Park in Mumbai’s Dadar to support students. She posted live updates showing herself being forcibly bundled into a vehicle and detained by the Mumbai Police at Worli Police Station. She maintained that she was not participating in active disruption, chanting slogans or blocking traffic, but was simply standing on the roadside when 15 police personnel surrounded her and dragged her away.

While trolls threatened her career, a large section of fans, students and industry peers praised her for publicly prioritizing her principles and dignity over industry opportunities.
