At 70, Chiranjeevi Performs Toughest Stunts

The megastar is executing stunts without body double

Ram Charan wasn’t exaggerating when he said his father Chiranjeevi is more agile and eager to push himself on set than he is.

At 70, the megastar has taken on what he calls the biggest physical challenge of his career — and he’s doing it without a body double.

Chiranjeevi is performing high-octane action sequences for his 158th film, tentatively titled #Chiru158. Despite his age, the actor has entered what the crew describes as “beast mode” to execute the film’s most demanding stunts.

The team is currently filming a lengthy schedule in Hyderabad centered on one of the movie’s biggest action blocks. The sequences are designed and choreographed by stunt masters Ram-Lakshman. The set features a large team of fighters and stunt performers.

Chiranjeevi is performing the complex and risky stunts himself, which has become a talking point on location.

Prior to Hyderabad, the production shot a schedule in Pollachi that also included large-scale action. That leg was meant to set up the tone for what the makers describe as a grand commercial entertainer.

The film marks the second collaboration between Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli after Waltair Veerayya. It is targeting a Sankranti 2027 release.
