Co-written with his wife, the singer may take on the lead role

After conquering the music world, Arijit Singh is now set to make his directorial debut. The acclaimed singer will helm a feature film produced by Mahavir Jain.
When contacted, Jain confirmed the development but declined to share further details.
Interestingly, this move doesn't come as a surprise. In an earlier conversation, Arijit had expressed his desire to explore filmmaking. "I have a lot within me that needs to be expressed, and not only through music. I will direct a film soon. In fact, I want to turn director as soon as possible. But my singing commitments are not allowing me," he had said.
The upcoming project is reportedly co-written by Arijit and his wife, Koel Roy. He may also take on the lead role in the film.
