Alia Bhatt’s dream of joining Yash Raj Film’s Spy Universe will have to wait a little longer. Her film ‘Alpha’, which was earlier postponed from December 25 to April 17 due to special effects reportedly not being up to the mark, has now been postponed indefinitely, ostensibly to vacate the Eid release slot for Salman Khan’s war drama Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
Traditionally, Eid has been Salman’s stronghold, but Yash Raj’s move seems unusually generous.Some speculate that under the guise of accommodating Salman, Yash Raj may have found the perfect excuse to delay Alpha, a project the studio may be cautious about following the failure of War 2 in the Spy Universe and the monumental success of Dhurandhar.
