Ajay Devgn and Son, The New Voiceover Team
The actor and his son Yug are the voices of Han and Li Fong in the Hindi version of ‘Karate Kid: Legends’

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is the voice of the iconic Mr. Han [Jackie Chan] and his son Yug Devgan debuts as the voice of Li Fong [Ben Wang] in the Hindi dubbed version of the much-awaited Karate Kid: Legends. This is the first time Ajay is doing the voiceover for an international film, and the first time he and Yug are coming together for a global project. The father-son duo released the trailer of the film at a grand event in Mumbai.
The two of them answered a few questions at the event.
Yug
On his dad: I love him a lot. He keeps inspiring me.
On Karate Kid: I've been a huge fan. I’ve been following it forever. I’ve watched all the films including the Jaden Smith one (The Karate Kid 2010) and Cobra Kai (television series). So getting to voice this one was exciting.
On dubbing for action sequences: Being my first time, it was confusing and a little tricky.
Ajay
On Yug: He keeps making fun of me and keeps bullying me. I’m very happy that he is into training and makes his own meals. I’ve not instilled this in him; he has imbibed these qualities on his own.
On the Karate Kid franchise: The first film came out in the 80s. I’ve been a fan of Jackie Chan, he is a legend. Since then, I’ve followed all the films and I’m a fan of all of them.
On hearing Yug’s dubbed version on a WhatsApp call: I’m very proud. He started dubbing and I was told they were using some of the takes from his rehearsals. He asked the technicians, “Can I make my father hear what I’ve dubbed on a WhatsApp call?” He has dubbed very naturally.
On the offer to do Karate Kid: I’m very happy they thought of this. In fact, Yug got very excited. At his age he doesn’t know what he wants to do in life. When he started working on the film, he even started throwing tantrums, saying, “I’m working, I’m very tired, don’t disturb me.”
