‘AI Making Filmmakers Lazy, Careless’

Tamil superstar Vijay’s forthcoming farewell film Jana Nayagan has landed itself in an embarrassing moment as alert netizens spotted an AI (Artificial Intelligence) frame in the trailer. Apparently the trailer editor forgot to remove an AI watermark in one of the shots.

Although the AI moment was hastily removed from the trailer, the damage is done. Ram Gopal Varma warns AI would be the death of cinema. “AI is making even the most passionate filmmakers lazy and careless. The creative process is being hijacked by technology.”
