Actor Sanchita Ugale Dies by Suicide at 22
Police investigations are ongoing

Actor Sanchita Ugale, known for her roles in television shows Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police said on Monday. She was 22.
According to reports, Sanchita allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan at her home in the Nallasopara area around 7 pm on Sunday when she was alone.
“A police team inspected the scene immediately after being alerted about the incident. We did not find anything suspicious at the spot, and no suicide note was recovered,” a police official told PTI.
The actor’s father told the police that he does not suspect any foul play or hold anyone responsible for her death. Police have sent the body for postmortem examination. A case of accidental death has been registered and an investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the extreme step.
Apart from television, Sanchita portrayed the younger version of Tara Rani in the Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava and appeared alongside Manoj Bajpayee in Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout.
Hours before her death, Sanchita shared a video on Instagram in which she was seen dancing to the Student of the Year song Radha. The clip is being widely shared by fans on social media.
