A Brush With Death Taught Me The Value Of Life
Manisha Koirala looks back with gratitude as she turns a year older

Battling cancer has changed the lovely Manisha Koirala. “It taught me to value life, to not take even a moment for granted. Prior to that setback, I wasted a lot of time doing trashy work, indulging in trashy relationships,” says the actress.
Now, Manisha is single, and happy that way. “I am not into frivolous relationships any more. Nor am I holding my breath for a man to appear and rescue me from loneliness. I am single and not lonely at all. Lately, I’ve begun to enjoy my own company. I like going on long treks. I take long meditation breaks. I advice everyone to not wait for a catastrophe to change their lifestyle. Do it now!”
Career-wise, Manisha is in a comfortable place. “Sanjay Bhansali’s Heeramandi has started me on my second innings. I am in no hurry to sign anything,” she says.
