Priyanka Chopra’s comment on international talk show The View, claiming that she was born with her nose as it looks today, seems to have raised a few eyebrows back home — and no, not in the way it has raised her shapely nose. Now, juxtaposing a few before/after pictures of PC can help one gauge the journey of her facial features. From a chiselled nose to high cheekbones, there’s much that Priyanka owes to her late father, who also happened to be a cosmetic surgeon. While Priyanka may understandably not want to delve into the details of her makeover, others such as Shilpa Shetty for instance, have been more forthcoming.

The actress hasn’t shied away from admitting to her nasal reconstruction, if you will. On the other hand, Kajol who unapologetically flashed her unibrow during the peak of her career, seems to have given in to the ways of showbiz and apparently gone for melanin therapy to get a lighter skin tone. She, like many others however, has remained tight-lipped on the subject. Speaking of tight lips, Anushka Sharma is one more person who didn’t remain so when the grapevine was abuzz about her lip job gone wrong. The actress however insisted that it was ‘lip enhancing tools and makeup techniques’ that had caused the buzz around her look. “For a short while now I have been using a temporary lip enhancing tool and that along with make up techniques (I have learnt over the years) is the reason why there might be a change in the appearance of my lips. I have by no means gone ‘under the knife’ or done any kind of ‘plastic surgery’ or undergone any intrusive procedure,” she had said.

But going under the proverbial knife however, is passé. And despite the hullabaloo over skin lightening products, it is exactly this procedure that is high in demand now. Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu and Gauri Khan apparently owe much of their now fair and lovely skin to these makeovers. But an evergreen favourite remains the botox and the subsequent eyebrow raise — not that everyone who has gotten it done has got desired results. In fact, a celebrity cosmetologist admits that most of his clients categorically ask him to ‘not give them the permanent surprise eyebrows’, now the patent of a certain star wife. And oh, it doesn’t stop there. A few star kids also apparently have been known to be in tow. Only these trust Indian doctors in Los Angeles and Dubai far more than those back home. And from what we hear, the procedure may cost upto Rs 40 lakh for a tummy tuck or liposuction. But there’s another reason stars head to Dubai — we’re referring to Sooraj Pancholi, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in particular.
These three good-looking gentlemen are often spotted in Dubai, often wearing bandanas. Reason? Yes, it has much to do with their hair enhancements allegedly. But coming back to facial features, some celebs seem to have taken the poem ‘chubby cheeks, dimple chin’ too seriously too. A star sister-couple known for their radiant skin have apparently done much to enhance their cheeks and chin. While most unsuspecting actresses have come under the scanner for their respective enhancements, these two have never let out signals of a possible surgeon’s involvement, so if someone were to get the ‘best job’ trophy, it would undoubtedly be this pretty duo. And finally, have you noticed how most stars have an enviable, flashy smile? It’s the veneers! For just for Rs 6 lakh or so, one can look like a toothpaste model. Not that Bollywood has ever hesitated to spare some change.
