Team India talismanic batter Virat Kohli put an end to the murmurs over his ODI future, prompted after a viral picture, where he was seen rocking a salt and pepper look.
Reports emerged recently claiming that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is not in favour of having Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the ODI team as the team prepares itself for the 2027 World Cup.
Keeping in mind their age, India's cricket governing body was reportedly leaning towards building a young team. Rohit and Virat would be turning 40 and 39 respectively for the next World Cup.
Adding fuel to fire was a picture of Virat Kohli, who was seen having a gray beard.
"You know it's time when you are colouring your beard every four days," the former India skipper said after attending Wimbledon in July.
Just a month later, Kohli's picture with a gray hair beard prompted much chatter.
However, Kohli on Saturday ended at least a few of the speculation with his Instagram story.
Taking to the photo sharing platform, Kohli dropped a picture from a practice session with Gujarat Titans coach Naeem Amin and wrote, "Thanks for helping out with the hit brother, Always lovely to see you."
