Sandeepti Singh to take on top seed Pimrada Jattavapornvanit in title tie

Sandeepti will now meet top seed Pimrada Jattavapornvanit of Thailand, who defeated fourth seed Yifan Sun of China 6-1, 6-3.

HYDERABAD: Eighth seed Sandeepti Singh Rao continued her winning streak to beat Vineetha Mummadi in straight set at 6-3, 6-4 and enter the girls U-18 singles semifinals at the Raja Narsimha Rao Memorial ITF Juniors Grade-4 tennis tournament being organised by the Telangana State Tennis Association at SATS Tennis Complex at Lal Bahadur Stadium here.

Sandeepti will now meet top seed Pimrada Jattavapornvanit of Thailand, who defeated fourth seed Yifan Sun of China 6-1, 6-3.

In the boys category, Chirag Duhan put up a tough fight but lost to Patron Hanchaikul of Thailand 5-7, 6-3, 6-1. In the other semifinal, Adit Sinha of USA defeated Dhruv Tangri of India with a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 score.

In the girls doubles semifinal, Yatawee Chimcham and Malikaa Marathe were too strong for Vineetha Mummadi and Sandeepti Singh Rao, beating them in straight sets at 6-2, 6-0.

However, Nishant Dabas and Tanapatt Nirundron scored a hard fought victory in the boys doubles semifinals, 7-6, 2-6, 10-5 against Sanjith Devineni and Udit Gogoi.
