Novak Djokovic fans have reasons to celebrate. The Serbian player is looking to realise his dream of breaking the grand slam titles of greats like Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
It's advantage Novak as both Nadal and Federer are not playing the French Open. For the unversed, Nadal has opted out of the tournament due to an injury while Federer has retired. So, Novak Djokovic has a chance to make the most of the opportunity and achieve his goal of accumulating Grand Slam titles.
Speaking to the media ahead of the French Open, Novak Djokovic said that his biggest motivation to compete in professional tennis is to create history in tennis by breaking records set by other tennis greats.
With experience on his side, Djokovic said, "Grand Slams are a different tournament, a different sport, in a way, because you’re playing best-of-five (sets), you are playing in the most important tournaments in the world."
Djokoic is ranked No.3, while his favourite Alcaraz, who is ranked No. 1. The two are likely to play against each other in the semifinals.
