Top seeded Kota Shashidhar clinched the TSTA Master Series tennis tournament Under 16 boys title while second seed Sanjana Sirimalla took the Under 16 girls title.
Shashidhar continued his rampaging run in the final as he edged out second seed Vallamreddy Kousik Kumar Reddy in nerve wracking 8-7 (3) tie-breaker.
Intitally, Koushik gained two games but then, a determined Shashidhar bounced back to claw his way back.
After much fight, Koushik led 7-6 but Shashidhar soon levelled it at 7-7. In the tie breaker Shashidhar maintained a healthy lead of 4-1 to walk off the court with a wide grin.
In the girls Under 16 final, Sanjana stole the show with a 8-6 victory over Charitha Vasireddy. It was a tough and well fought contest alright but Sanjana hit the right notes when it mattered the most and drilled in winners at crucial stages.
