Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Australia star Travis Head is set to miss tonight's match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Stadium after testing positive for Covid-19.
SRH Head Coach Daniel Vettori on Sunday evening clarified that the explosive opener won't be available for Monday's game and said he had contradicted Covid-19.
"He had Covid-19 and unfortunately he couldn't travel," Vettori said in the pre-match press conference.
"We're hopeful of having him back for the next game once he's fully recovered and cleared to join the squad," he added.
Meanwhile, Monday's match would mark the first game for the Cummins-led side after the resumption of the tournament. SRH are out of the play-off contentions, while LSG will look to bank on their very slim chance of making into the top four.
