Team India Skipper Rohit Sharma presented the special T20 World Cup winning ring to pacer Mohammed Siraj on Monday ahead of Mumbai Indians face-off with Gujarat Titans at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
A customized ring featuring players name and jersey number with Ashok Chakra on top was made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for all the players of team India who participated in the last year's T20 World Cup.
BCCI had presented the World Cup winning squad members the special rings during 'Naman Awards', which were held earlier this year. Siraj missed the event.
"This is for Mohammed Siraj, We missed you at the function. You played a vital role in our T20 campaign. A very very special ring which was made for all us, unfortunately siraj wasn't there (at the event) so I would like to present it to Mr. Siraj," Rohit said while presenting the ring.
Flaunting the ring Siraj says, "Champion."
Meanwhile, their respective IPL teams - Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will face each other to reach the playoffs on Tuesday.
