Hyderabad Black Hawks elated over strategic partnership with Italy's Pallavolo Padova

HYDERABAD: Volleyball team Hyderabad Black Hawks on Friday announced a strategic partnership with Pallavolo Padova, a leading club from Italy’s Superliga, marking a significant milestone.

This groundbreaking alliance promises to bring world-class coaching and robust infrastructure to India, propelling Indian volleyball talents onto the global stage and establishing a cultural and athletic bridge between India and Italy.

The Hyderabad Black Hawks, known for pioneering strategies and audacious decisions, have set the standard in Indian volleyball. From appointing the first world-class coach in the Prime Volleyball League to creating a sensational showbiz experience for their fans, and enlisting celebrities to amplify fan engagement, the Black Hawks have consistently demonstrated a willingness to elevate their status and extend their reach in the realm of sports.

Their partner, Pallavolo Padova, brings over half a century of rich volleyball tradition to the table. A mainstay in the Italian Superliga, Padova embodies volleyball excellence and is known for empowering its players through superior game sense. This collaboration signals Padova's readiness to adapt and evolve in the global volleyball landscape.

As part of this historic collaboration, the Black Hawks will send several players to train with Padova in Italy in the coming months. In return, Padova will dispatch several of their expert coaches to India this year to aid the Black Hawks in creating India's first world-class coaching certification program and youth training infrastructure.

Sharing his excitement over the partnership, Black Hawks' principle owner, Abhishek Reddy Kankanala said, "India boasts the largest talent pool in the world for sports. To sculpt our talented youth into world-class athletes, we need both superior infrastructure and top-tier coaching. With the Khelo India Program and our new partnership with Padova, we're making it happen."

Padova's president, Giancarlo Bettio, echoed Abhishek Reddy’s statement and said, “With over 50 years of tradition and legacy in running youth programs and coaching, we're eager to bring our expertise to India, an untapped reservoir of boundless potential. United, we're confident that our clubs can reshape the future of volleyball."
