Dubai: Shafali Verma struck a quickfire 64 as India posted 159/9 against Thailand in their Group A match of the Women's T20 Asia Cup match here on Sunday.
Shafali cracked three sixes and eight fours to make 64 off 36 balls, while debutant Pratika Rawal made 22 off 18 balls. At the top, Smriti Mandhana made 19 with four boundaries but she was run out.
India were cruising at 108 for two at one stage but suffered a collapse to slip to 137 for nine, after which Kranti Gaud (15 not out) took India past the 150-mark
Suleeporn Laomi returned 4-0-26-3.
