Hyderabad: An official amendment has been made to the previous order of providing 2% job reservation for meritorious sportspersons in all the Telangana state government services.
With this, now sportspersons can be assured of getting a job in the state government departments.
Previously, in the year 2000, the GO No. 84 was issued in the united Andhra Pradesh for providing 2% jobs to the players. However, it was not implemented.
But now, the issue was addressed again and the necessary amendments and clarity were brought in and GO 107 was ordered on Friday to implement the jobs quota for sportspersons.
