League Championship: Jayaram, Amit, Shashidhar, mir top performers on day 1
Hyderabad: E. Jayaram Reddy, Amit Pachera, Mir Sayed Ali and G. Shashidhar Reddy impressed in Tuesday action in the A-1 Division Three Day League Championship matches played here.
Jayaram of Hyderabad Bottling scalped six wickets conceding 55 runs as Cambridge XI folded for 174 in 39.2 overs.
The second best bowler was Mir. He claimed five wickets conceding 113 for India Cements.
Shashidhar of Jai Hanuman had a rollicking time smashing a quickfire 113 laced with 10 boundaries and one huge six. Jai Hanuman scored 256 losing four wickets in 85 overs.
Amit Pachera of AOC played an excellent knock scoring 101 runs with three lofted sixes and five boundaries.
AOC put up a fighting total of 481 for 9 in 90 overs. Sufiyan Alam 78, Nakul Verma 79 and Shivam Tiwari 70 were other notable contributors.
Deccan Chronicle and EMCC could not play on Day-1 due the rains. SBI and SCRSA along with MP Colts and Enscone too were victims of the monsoon showers.
