In a thrilling encounter, Telugu Titans and U Mumba played out a 25-25 tie in a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League encounter. The Mumbai franchise were left ruing dropped points, having had a comfortable nine-point cushion at the halfway point in the game. Skipper Rahul Chaudhary was the star once again, inspiring the Telugu Titans to stage a brilliant comeback.
The Titans are now third on the table with 40 points from 12 games while U Mumba are a spot below them in fourth, with 35 points from 11 games. Rahul scored two points in the third minute as Telugu Titans notched up a 3-0 lead. Rakesh Kumar scored his first raid point in the fourth minute to open Mumbai’s account.
The Titans looked in good form as Rahul scored another raid point to give his team a 6-2 lead after eight minutes. U Mumba’s defence got them back in the game as they levelled the scores at 6-6 after 11 minutes. They went from strength to strength and slowly built up a healthy lead. The Titans defence got their act together at the start of second half as they clawed their way back to close out the gap and ensured a tied result.
