Pankaj Advani favourite in snooker tour event

This tour which is recognized by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation are played in 10 reds snooker format.

Bengaluru: Karnataka State Billiards Association (KSBA) is hosting the third leg of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sport (ACBS) Asian Snooker Tour. The first leg was conducted in Doha, Qatar, followed by the second leg at Jinan, China. Third leg and the last leg of the tour would commence from 22nd April 2019 at Bengaluru.

This tour which is recognized by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation are played in 10 reds snooker format. Twenty-four top players from Asia will feature in this tournament.

First Round comprises of 24 players in 8 groups, 2 players will qualify from each group to the last 16. 32 players will participate in the next season in which the top 8 players from the first season will qualify for the next season.

The 21-time world champion Pankaj Advani tops the Asian Snooker Tour Rankings. He is followed by Mohammed Bilal from Pakistan, who will not be participating in this leg. Cheung Ka Wai – 20-year-old cueist from Hong Kong is in the third position.

Mohammed Bilal won the first leg of the Asian Tour which was held in Doha, Qatar. Pankaj Advani lost in the Semi-finals to Brendan O Donoghue from Ireland.

Pankaj reached the top spot in the Asian Snooker tour rankings after winning the second leg held at Jinan, China. He beat Ju Reti from China in the final which helped him jump from the fourth to the first spot.

Semi-finals and finals of the event would be held on 25th April 2019.
