Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said his government will create best infrastructure in Kommadi area here to promote table tennis in a big way.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the six-day South Zone National ranking TT tournament here, Chandrababu said a TT academy will be established in Kommadi locality in the city.
Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister K Achanna Naidu said the state sports policy will be announced by this month end.
He said big play grounds in Cuddapah, Eluru, Rajahmundry and Tirupathi will be converted into multi purpose sports stadiums through PPP model.
MLC and and District Table Tennis Association President MVS Sarma said 16 tables have been laid for conducting the matches.
This was the third national zonal ranking tournament of the TTFI during this year.
North Zone, Central Zone and West Zone events were held at Chandigarh, Indore,and Rajkot respectively.
