Hyderabad: A young Team India will take on seasoned EAFL Falcons from the United Arab Emirates in the first ever international ‘American Football’ game in Hyderabad to be played at Gachibowli Sports Complex on Saturday. Entry to the game which starts at 6.30 pm is free.
The game is being organised under the aegis of the American Football Federation of India (AFFI) that serves as a governing body for American Football in India.
Terming Hyderabad a sporting destination, AFFI COO Sandeep said, “American Football is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Presently played across 71 nations, the sport is recognised by IOC and is likely to get official entry into the Olympics soon.”
