Kabaddi World Cup: Record-breaking India thrash Argentina

Having already qualified for the semi-finals, India are now set to play their last Group A match against England, on Tuesday.

Ahmedabad: India have created history after defeating Argentina 74-20, at the TransStadia, in Ahmedabad, on Saturday.

The duo of Rahul Chaudhari and Ajay Thakur combined to score 25 points in raids, as the hosts went on to completely rout Argentina. With this win, India have firmly cemented their place as the second highest scoring team in Group A of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

However the highlight of the match for the home fans was the fact that India have managed to register the highest number of tackles in a Kabaddi World Cup match.

The Argentines looked clueless against a strong Indian side, who had amassed 100 points in their last two matches. This time though, they completely outclassed their opponents.

Having already qualified for the semi-finals, India are now set to play their last Group A match against England, on Tuesday.
