Kavita Devi’s future bright: Drew Gulak
Hyderabad: While current Cruiser-weight Champion Drew Gulak looks to defend his title for the first time he will be in for a nail-biting encounter against friend-turned-rival Tony Nese at the WWE Extreme Rules on Sunday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, USA.
The Philadelphia born-wrestler senses delusion from his opponent’s camp and feels he is in the best shape to defend his title, “I’ve never been more prepared in my life for anything else,” Drew stated fiercely.
“This is my first title defense in the WWE and that too in front of my home crowd. Also, I am starting to realise some delusion from his camp, and I am going to take full advantage of that,” he added.
Drew explained his relationship with his sparring partner from India, Kavita Devi, and how the Indian talent on the WWE roster has been growing manifold.
Kavita, a former weightlifter in the 75kg category and a gold medallist at the South Asian Games in 2016, became the first female athlete from the country to feature in the WWE. “I think there are a lot of great Indian talents on the WWE roster such as the Singh brothers, my favourite — Jindar Mahal and Kavita Devi,” he added.
