The Indian defeated South Africa’s Botha Johannes by techinical superiority to finish at top of the podium.
By winning his third gold medal, the 34-year-old from Haryana became the most successful wrestler at the Commonwealth Games after winning the title in different editions.
Sushil took a little over minute to wrap up this match as he raced to 10 points — 4,2,2,2 — without allowing his opponent to settle. Botha failed to register points on board which meant he lost the match by technical superiority.
