Hyderabad YMCA reach knockouts of Club League Basketball Championship

Hyderabad YMCA assured themselves of a spot in the knockout phase of the Club League Basketball Championship being conducted by the Hyderabad District Basketball Association, with a hard-fought 58-52 win over KPHB.

Lalith Reddy led the scoring chart with 16 points while Asif Rasool played a supporting role with 13 points. For KPHB, Sai top-scored with 19 points while Shashank shot 16. Meanwhile, Boys Sports Company (BSC) ‘A’, Young Men’s Guild and Secunderabad Club won their respective games. BSC defeated St Martin’s Basketball Club 63-45; the Guild got the better of Students Sports Club ‘A’ PG Road Secunderabad 36-28 and Secunderabad Club thrashed the Guild 66-26 in a later game. Rohan top-scored for Secunderabad Club with 30 points and received some support from Vidhura, who accounted for 11 points.
