Mahi Baldev’s bronze is a first for Telangana

Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Mahi Baldev did Telangana proud by winning a bronze medal at the Junior National Taekwondo championship held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

Mahi secured the third place in the 49 to 52 kg category at the event conducted by the Taekwondo Federation of India, which has two factions — led by Dr Ishari K. Ganesh and Prabhat Sharma respectively.

 

Mahi became the first female fighter from the State to win a medal at the TFI Nationals. A student of St Andrews School, she trains with coach Narsimha at Aadi Prime School in Trimulgherry.
