Bengaluru: With 1257 points in their kitty, Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre emerged overall champions on the final day of the State Sub-Junior and Junior Aquatic championship here on Saturday.
On the last day of the event, P. Kushal clocked 5:00.00 seconds to set a new state record in the Group II boys 400m medley. The Dolphin Aquatics swimmer broke Ashwin Kumar’s (5:03.19) record set 11 years ago.
Participating in her last competition at the junior level, Damini Gowda created a new state record, clocking a 1:04:91 in the Group I 100m butterfly.
