Throwball National Championship: Girls throw weight
Telangana’s Under-19 girls continued their spectacular performance to take the pride of the place on the podium while the boys had to settle for silver in the 62nd School Games Federation of India Throwball National Championship conducted by the Hyderabad District School Games Federation at Pallavi Model School in Alwal, Secunderabad. In the finals against Delhi, the home side went a game down after winning the first one but came back hard at their rivals to win the match 15-9, 12-15, 15-11.
The boys side were left dejected after being beaten by Delhi 13-15, 12-15 in straight games to finish the second best in the tournament. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh finished third as they comfortably defeated Karnataka 15-9, 15-11 in the match for the third place in the boys category while Maharashtra outclassed Haryana 15-8, 12-15, 15-13 to take the third spot in the girls section.
