Rahul Srivatsav is closer to becoming a Grand Master
Slated to play a few more tournaments in Italy, Rahul is likely to complete the required rating points in a fortnight.
Hyderabad: Rahul Srivatsav brought in more cheer to chess circles in the country after Koneru Humpy’s stupendous run at the World Rapid Chess. The Hyderabad lad has earned his third and final Grand Master norm at the Montbelluna Open being played in Venice, Italy.
The 17-year-old has now completed all norms and is short of 32 ELO rating points to officially become a Grand Master, the third from Telangana. He currently has a rating of 2638 points.
Slated to play a few more tournaments in Italy, Rahul is likely to complete the required rating points in a fortnight.
