"If Rohit is struggling but still gets runs, that's dangerous...": Yuvraj ahead of IND vs PAK Match

Yuvraj Singh said that it doesn’t matter to him if Rohit is in form or out of form

India will face Pakistan in the high-octane ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match on Sunday. Rohit Sharma-led Indian team is one win away from sealing their semifinal spot, whereas Pakistan will look to win to avoid early exit.
Skipper Rohit Sharma scored a crucial 41 runs in the first Champions Trophy match against Bangladesh, but unfortunately, he couldn’t convert it into a big innings. However, if Rohit bats for a long period, he has the potential to score big, as he demonstrated by scoring a century against England in the second ODI.
Ahead of the India-Pakistan clash, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh said that it doesn’t matter to him if Rohit is in form or out of form and added that the Indian captain can score a century in 60 balls once he gets going.
“If he’s in form, he will score a century in 60 balls. That’s his quality—once he gets going, he’s not just hitting fours; he’s clearing the ropes with sixes. He is also one of the best players of the short ball. Even if someone bowls at 145-150 kmph, Rohit has the ability to hook it effortlessly. His strike rate is always between 120-140, and on his day, he can single-handedly win you the game,” Yuvraj said on JioHotstar.
He further said, "If Rohit is struggling but still gets runs, that's dangerous for the opposition."
The former all-rounder said that Rohit and Virat are India’s biggest match-winners.
“I would always back my match-winners. In ODI cricket, especially in white-ball formats, he has been India’s biggest match-winner as a batsman, alongside Virat Kohli,” he said.
