Virat Kohli accidentally liked a picture of actor Avneet Kaur on Instagram sparking speculations and online meme fest

Team India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) talisman batter Virat Kohli was in the news for all wrong reasons recently when he accidentally liked an Instagram post from a fan account of actor Avneet Kaur.
Kohli quickly removed his accidental like on the post but netizens were quick to take screenshots and started speculations. Some even pointed out 'trouble' in their marriage, while others called it 'micro cheating.'
The 36-year-old later clarified and said it was unintentional. In a statement he put out on his Instagram story read, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”
However, the controversy helped Avneet Kaur gain 500k additional followers and triple traction in engagement, claimed reports. Moreover, her name was in trending for 48 hours and she landed 12 new brand endorsements in 72 hours. Avneet's Instagram post value also saw an upward trend from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.6 lakh, according to digital agency BuzzCraft.
Currently, Avneet Kaur has a 31.8 million following on Instagram and the number is likely to increase.
The actor and social media personality born in 2001 in Jalandhar is known for her work in Hindi television and films. She acted in movies like Tiku Weds Sheru, Luv Ki Arrange Marriage, Mardaani 2 and more.
