Hyderabad: Nalgonda emerged champions of the Under-16 Asmita Football League after defeating Ranga Reddy 4-0 in the final held in Nizamabad. Hemasri scored in the 11th and 39th minutes, while Akshara added two more goals, in the 26th and 58th minutes to complete a convincing victory.
Earlier in the semifinals Nalgonda defeated Nizamabad 3-1 as Himabindu scored in the 14th minute, followed by Keerthana in the 38th and Hemasri in the 55th minute. Jahnavi scored Nizamabad’s only goal in the 36th minute. In the other semifinal, Ranga Reddy defeated Khammam 3-0, with Ananya (35th), Lahari (47th) and Teertha (62nd) finding the net.
