London: Erling Haaland scored his third goal of the season as Manchester City beat Coventry 1-0 to stay at the top of the Premier League with nine points from three games.

Tottenham picked up its first point of the season with a 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle remained unbeaten under new coach Matthias Jaissle thanks to a late equalizer from Jacob Ramsey in a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace twice came back against Fulham to eventually win 3-2 at Craven Cottage for its first points of the campaign while Brighton drew 1-1 with Leeds.

Brentford and Sunderland also drew 1-1.

Aubameyang Keeps Scoring in La Liga

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it four goals in as many games since joining Deportivo to help the promoted club remain unbeaten since its return to the top flight.

The 37-year-old Aubameyang struck in the 88th to clinch a 3-2 victory at Villarreal.

Athletic Bilbao rolled over Atletico Madrid 3-0 with second-half goals from Nico Williams, Robert Navarro and Oihan Sancet.

It was a second straight win for Athletic under its new German coach Edin Terzic.

Also, Sergio Camello netted twice to lead Rayo Vallecano to a 3-2 victory over Racing Santander.

Dutch Game Abandoned

The game between Utrecht and Go Ahead Eagles in the Dutch top tier was abandoned after some Utrecht fans threw fireworks and other objects onto the pitch. The match was eventually abandoned in the second half with Go Ahead Eagles leading 3-1 at the time.

Utrecht issued a statement condemning the actions of the fans responsible, saying it will review video footage and take action against those involved.

Also in the Eredivisie, PSV Eindhoven won 3-1 at Ajax.

Lens Stumbles in France

Lens, last season's runner-up in Ligue 1, had a second straight loss after falling 1-0 at home to Lorient.

Brest beat Le Havre 2-1, and Nice drew with Le Mans 1-1.
