FC Bayern Picks Indian Teen Aryan Bose to Their U-19 World Squad

The 17-year-old forward is reportedly the only South Asian player to be selected by FC Bayern Munich to their U-19 Global Academy

German football giants FC Bayern Munich have signed Indian teenager Aryan Bose to their Global Academy Team.

The 17-year-old forward is reportedly the only South Asian player to be selected by FC Bayern Munich to their U-19 Global Academy.

The 2009-born player is set to play against elite football academies across Europe, a rare opportunity for Indian footballers. He will also be able to receive world class training, from the most successful club in the German Bundesliga.

He was scouted by the Germans from Thailand, where he plays for the STB Academy

Indian-origin NZ player who played for FC Bayern Munich

The selection of Aryan Bose by FC Bayern Munich brings memories of an Indian-origin attacking midfielder Sarpreet Singh, who played in the senior team of the German champions. Aryan Khan will follow Sarpreeet's footsteps, to hopefully play in the senior team one day.

Now playing for New Zealand in the FIFA World Cup 2026, he was associated with the club between 2019 and 2013, during which he played 38 games in the Bayern Munich II squad and two games in the senior team.
